The Arab Yaqadha Library for Woman and Child’ has been established in Ras Alkhaima, UAE, in 1990 by a number of women activists in the UAE. The goal of the library was to spread the awareness of high culture and knowledge in the society with more emphasis on women and children’s issues. This effort was appreciated by HH Shaikh Saqr bin Mohamed Alqassimi, the member of supreme council , ruler of Ras Alkhaima, who issued an Emeriti decree in 1995 identifying the library as a non-for-profit organisation. However, the goal of the library would not be completely achieved without the monthly financial support granted by HH Shiakh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Alqassimi, the member of supreme council, Ruler of Sharja. Thus, the library has become a practical scheme in fostering Arab and Islamic Identity
