Christopher Morton is an anthropologist and historian and is Head of Curatorial, Research and Teaching and Associate Professor at the Pitt Rivers Museum, University of Oxford. He is also a Fellow of Linacre College, Oxford, and a Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute.
His research interests centre on the history of anthropology and photography, in particular relation to Africa and Australia, as well as the fieldwork photography of E. E. Evans-Pritchard. He has carried out long-term fieldwork in Botswana, and worked on projects relating to South Sudan and Kenya.
