The unique and moving stories in this book were recorded by Emirati students from Abu Dhabi Women's College, HCT. The stories were shared with the students by elderly Emiratis recalling their memories of events that changed or shaped their lives. The stories speak of amusing and tragic moments, of hard work and hope, of how life has changed in this desert nation. Beautifully illustrated by Applied Media female students, this collection is a work of art as well as a contribution to the oral history of the United Arab Emirates.
