Working Towards Graduate Outcomes

This first collection of articles from the General Education Division at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) illustrates a wide variety of educational practices which have a common aim: to support students at various stages of their studies in the development of Graduate Outcomes. Complementing specific learning outcomes required for graduation, HCT students are required to meet a set of eight generic “Graduate Outcomes” which are taught across all areas of the curriculum. The cover such areas as self-management and independent learning, global awareness and citizenship, and communication and information technology, and are designed to help ensure HCT graduates can make the fullest contribution to UAE society as they enter the professional world of work
