“Evolving Spaces: Dubai’s Emerging Cultural Districts” is an illustrative photographic journey through the city, laying bare its multiplicitous identity. Business hubs, emerging cultural centers, hidden alleyways and market stalls are intimately captured in this book, giving the reader a raw view of Dubai’s unique energy for adaptation and growth. The book was first launched at the AIR Gallery in London as part of their Dubai Futures exhibition and talk series held for Shubbak, a festival celebrating contemporary Arab culture. Published by Brownbook UAE, “Evolving Spaces” is the result of a collaboration with Amad Makia, who contributed the research text on Dubai’s art and cultural policies.
